Michael relies on nearly 40 years of experience in finance and securities to oversee Secure Retirement Strategies’ tailor-made retirement plans. He is always looking for new ways to help retirees and near-retirees throughout the country earn income-for-life as they approach or enter retirement.
Michael has held senior management positions at heavyweights Janney Montgomery Scott, Prudential Securities, and Shearson American Express. Before joining Secure Retirement Strategies, Michael spent seven years as an Executive Director with Oppenheimer.
Over the course of his career, Michael has attained a special compliance background, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a dispute resolution arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). During his tenure with FINRA, Michael has arbitrated more than 50 cases, resolving disputes between brokerage firms, clients and brokerage firms, and employees and brokerage firms. Michael’s other affiliations include being a board member of the New York Stock Exchange Disciplinary Hearing Board for 8 years, a board member of the New York Stock Exchange Acceptability Board for 2 years, a member of the National Ethics Association and a Dispute Resolution arbitrator for the National Futures Exchange for 14 years.
Michael’s problem-solving skills were recognized when he was appointed an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) in 1991, the New York Stock Exchange in 1992, and the National Futures Exchange in 2003. In addition, Michael is a Registered Advisor under the NFL Players’ Association Financial Advisors Program, a highly restrictive qualifying program sponsored by the NFL Players Union. Michael also holds numerous securities and commodities licenses.
Michael graduated the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Political Science and History. He has been married for more than 40 years, with three sons and a granddaughter. Michael’s hobbies include sports, weight training, biking, cooking, travel, and researching and building Napoleonic-era model ships.
